Learning Ancient Greek

The programme starts with the alphabet and covers basic forms of verbs, nouns and adjectives and simple sentence structures, with exercises and original readings from Greek. The course units are complemented by a word list, glossary of grammatical terms, and a selection of further readings.

Each unit is constructed as a single scrolling page; most pages feature a Background & Text colour changer (Free from The JavaScript Source). This enables individual users to choose the colour combination with which they are most comfortable.
Remember: Hyperlinks, which are coloured dark blue, will not be visible against a similarly coloured background.

An enhanced version of MAQOS should soon be available on CDRom.

MAQOS aims:

• to introduce beginners to the rudiments of Ancient Greek
• to supplement existing courses in the language
• to encourage students to pursue the subject further:
